Category: Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Age: 43
Weight: 140
Gender: Female
Body Part Name: Upper Abdomen
Description:

This 43 yr old mother wanted correction of her redundant skin at the time of a medically necessary hysterectomy. Since she had mostly muscle laxity and a small amount of extra skin we decided to “float” her belly button with the tummy skin instead of making a new one. She felt her umbilicus was a little too high anyway.

Case: 57946
Category: Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Age: 29
Weight: 136
Gender: Female
Body Part Name: Upper Abdomen
Description:

This 29 yr old mother of two had 50lb wt gain (116 to 162) with her first pregnancy and after her second managed to return to within 20lb of her prepregnancy weight. She did a great job of restoring her muscle tone with sit-ups, but was bothered by the skin that just wouldn’t shrink and the stretch marks that accentuated the extra skin. We had a long discussion about the trade off of longer scar to get more skin and in the end she decided on a long anterior scar (rather than a short scar or a circumferential body lift type). On the pre op visit she decided to have muscle tightening.

Age: 33
Weight: 140
Gender: Female
Body Part Name: Upper Abdomen
Description:

A 32 yr old mother of two (6yo,14yo) had gained from 129 lbs up to 190 lbs with her pregnancies. At our first consult she weighed 180 lbs and we discussed liposuction followed by body lift, but she surprised me by losing 50 lb on her own and returned one year later weighing 130 lbs! At that point we had a long discussion about body lift, but for largely financial reasons she decided on abdominoplasty. She agreed to let me curve the scars upward to prevent “dog ears” at the hips. Note her two previous C-section incisions nicely at her hairline (excised with the abdominoplasty).

Description:

This 44 yr old was planning medically necessary hysterectomy and wanted to have simultaneous abdominal correction. She was most bothered by the loose skin drooping  over her old C-section scar. A secondary problem was the fat collections over her flanks (love handle area).

Category: Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Age: 52
Weight: 145
Gender: Female
Body Part Name: Upper Abdomen
Description:

52 yr old was primarily interested in correction of loose abdominal skin and muscles but also is concerned with fat collections at her hips and flanks and is disappointed that she “never had a butt”. We had several conversations about her many excellent options (she is an outstanding candidate for body lift with fat transfer to buttocks). She eventually decided (for largely financial reasons) to have abdominoplasty and liposuction of her flanks.
